Dental Health Science

During dental health week, this activity will provide an interesting science experiment! Using egg shells and a cola soft drink, show the children the white egg shells. Tell them that the egg shells are similar to our teeth. Ask them what they think will happen if the shells are left in the sugar filled soft drink (predicting). Then place the cola and egg shells in a clear, covered plastic container. Observe the changes over a period of time. Remind the children that it is important to keep their teeth clean and free of sugar if they want healthy white teeth!
